Mentoring Program's Mission is to ensure that teens in local high schools have access to quality, enduring mentoring relationships with a caring, trained adult.
The Program recruits, screens, trains, matches and supervises adult volunteer mentors to provide group mentoring to teens, fourteen years of age and above enrolled in the basketball program to help them expand their experiences beyond their families, schools, and neighborhoods in order to succeed in life.
The outcomes of the mentoring program include:
Build youth resiliency and self-esteem
Cultivate positive relationships
Develop good sportsmanship
Enhance Christian spiritual growth and formation
Encourage staying in school and pursuing academic achievement in secondary school.
